Centre Manager – LSE Cities
Salary: £53,204–£61,301 per annum (inclusive), with the potential to rise to £68,119
Contract: Open-ended, subject to 4 years of funding

The Role
We’re looking for a Centre Manager to join our senior management team and help lead the strategic and operational delivery of LSE Cities. This is a pivotal role that supports the Executive Director and drives the Centre’s smooth day-to-day operations.

As Centre Manager, you’ll oversee a wide range of responsibilities including finance, HR, procurement, facilities, funding applications, and event coordination. You’ll also manage relationships with key stakeholders such as our Advisory Board, Governing Board, and LSE’s internal departments.

You will lead our professional services team and handle all HR processes for academic, research, policy staff, and visitors. You’ll also act as our main contact for external institutions, funders, and government agencies.

What We’re Looking For

  • Substantial administrative experience, preferably in a Higher Education or research environment
  • Proven experience in team leadership and line management
  • Strong background in budget planning and financial management
  • Experience planning and delivering public events
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and relationship-building skills
