Administrator/Receptionist Apprentice – Harris Institute (Peckham)

About the Opportunity
We are looking for a proactive Programme & Administrator Coordinator to join the Harris Institute’s new site in Peckham. In this role, you’ll support teacher training and development programmes across London and South Essex.
As the first point of contact for the office, you’ll play a vital role in coordinating recruitment and administrator for Initial Teacher Education, Assessment Only routes, and Apprenticeships. Main Responsibilities of Administrator
- Act as the first point of contact for the teacher education team, handling calls, inbox queries, and stakeholder communication.
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and evaluation data.
- Coordinate with Harris Institute colleagues across sites, sharing information and ensuring smooth processes.
- Keep website content accurate, relevant, and engaging.
- Manage team diaries, bookings, and CPD events (training rooms, catering, logistics).
- Produce clear communications, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Support financial processes by tracking trainee details, costs, and payments.
- Organise meetings, circulate notes, and follow up on actions.
- Assist with marketing, proof-reading, and creating event materials.
- Ensure compliance with Harris Institute and National Institute of Teaching processes.
About You
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Forms) and strong typing skills.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience of Apprenticeship or ITE administration, including DfE reporting.
- Familiarity with MS Publisher, Dynamics, Power BI, and using social media for marketing.
