The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrator to join our Advisory Appointments Committees (AACs) team. This team plays a vital role in supporting the recruitment of senior hospital doctors across the NHS.
As the RCP increases its focus on engagement-led initiatives, this role will be central in strengthening relationships with our members and NHS employers while delivering excellent service throughout the recruitment process.
Purpose and Scope
This role supports the RCP’s statutory function of helping appoint the best doctors to the right roles, ultimately improving patient care. You will use bespoke IT systems to:
- Assist regional advisors and specialty advisors in reviewing and approving NHS job descriptions.
- Provide NHS medical staffing teams with lists of RCP representatives for interview panels.
- Manage and coordinate the Regional Specialty Adviser (RSA) network.
About You
- Proven experience working to deadlines in a customer service environment.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple inboxes and systems efficiently.
- Confident communication skills to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and build effective relationships.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is desirable.
- Proactive, with the ability to learn on the job and use initiative.
