Trustee Opportunities – Karbon Foundation (North East)

Are you passionate about creating lasting social impact? The Karbon Foundation is seeking two new Trustees to join our Board and help us shape brighter futures for individuals and communities across the North East and Yorkshire.

As part of the wider Karbon Group—including Karbon Homes, 54North Homes, Leazes Homes and Graphite Homes—the Foundation is a newly formed Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) dedicated to supporting people to live secure, connected and fulfilling lives.

Why join us?
As a Trustee, you’ll play a vital non-executive, strategic role in guiding the Foundation’s work, bringing your insight and experience to strengthen our mission. We’re particularly interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• Finance (ideally a qualified accountant)
• Senior leadership experience in a charity or community-focused organisation
• Trusts, grants and funding expertise
• We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and especially those with lived experience in social housing and community support.

Key Details:

• Role type: Trustee (voluntary, expenses reimbursed)
• Location: North East
• Commitment: Four Board meetings annually, plus strategy/training days. Occasional committee or working group involvement may also be required.
• Term: 3 years (renewable up to 6 years)
