Development Manager
Location: London, Mayfair (with hybrid work option)

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Epic is seeking a passionate and driven Development Manager to support fundraising and donor engagement in the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in philanthropy while working alongside a dynamic international team across London, Paris, and Brussels.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with the UK Director to expand our donor base, build strong relationships, and help deliver our mission of creating sustainable impact for children and young people around the world.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fundraising & Business Development (65%)
- Lead prospect research and outreach to grow Epic’s UK donor base
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of potential supporters using Epic’s CRM (Salesforce)
- Attend in-person networking and fundraising events (some early mornings/evenings required)
- Pitch tailored giving solutions and prepare impactful fundraising materials
- Monitor performance and ROI of campaigns and events
2. Donor Engagement & Community Building (20%)
- Support donor retention with a goal of 80% renewal rate
- Organize donor engagement activities such as calls, reports, project visits, and events
- Act as a point of contact for a portfolio of donors
- Assist with Epic-led UK events and gala nights, in collaboration with our Events Team
3. Administrative & Operational Support (15%)
- Manage donor records, gift processing, and communications using Salesforce
- Coordinate with international partners to facilitate donations
- Prepare meeting materials, take minutes, and support daily admin tasks
What We’re Looking For
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- 5+ years’ experience in sales, fundraising, or business development, with a proven track record of securing 5- or 6-figure gifts
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- High level of English (spoken & written); French is a strong plus
- Tech-savvy, with experience using Salesforce or similar CRMs
- Self-starter, highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a small team
- Willingness to attend external events and represent Epic professionally
